TCR Arabia has an in-house Microbiology Laboratory that is designed for food, water and other "clean" microbiological & chemical testing services according to customer needs. It has an ultra-clean room equipped with a laminar flow cabinet. The various materials tested include frozen food and chilled food, fresh food, drinking water, wastewater, screening pool water, ice beverages, cosmetics, and animal feed and environmental samples. We carry out air monitoring workplace, swabbing of machines and equipment’s for contact and non-contact surface used in the production area and take personnel swabs.

 

Our laboratory is managed by highly qualified and experienced personnel dedicated to provide continuous value-added services to our clients and their customers by generating reliable test data and results. We take a personal interest in providing a testing experience that meets our client requirements and exceeds their expectations. 

 

TCR Arabia provides food testing services to food processors, dairy industry, beverage, agricultural institutions, food suppliers and caterers. We generate accurate results performed in accordance with strict quality control standards including AWWA, APHA, SASO, BSI, CCFRA, BAM (Bacteriological and Analytical Manual of FDA) and use W.H.O guidelines and various other standard test procedures. Our Microbiology laboratory accredited ISO 17025-2005 by SAC, and certified ISO 9001-2015 by INTERTEK and offers full food and water industry testing services including Heterotropic plate count, Total coliforms (MPN and colony count) E. Coli, Enterobacteriaceae, Fecal streptococcus, Salmonella Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeurogenosa, E.Coli 0157.H7, Sulphate-reducing bacteria (SRB), (Soil & Water), Staphylococcus aureus, Fecal coliforms, Bacillus cereus, Legionella from cooling water system, Listeria monocytogenes, Nitrifying bacteria from cooling tower and soils, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Clostridium perfringence, and Yeast & Mould count

Shelf-Life Testing Services

The Team at TCR Arabia performs shelf life analyses for defining accurate dates for your products, thus ensuring that the quality remains acceptable and safe for consumers. Shelf-life testing studies on food evaluate and document how long food products maintain their intended physical, chemical and microbiological quality and properties.

 

Our facilities

Our shelf-life tests are conducted in suitable analytical, microbiological and sensory testing facilities. We are able to simulate a variety of controlled temperature environmental conditions required for shelf-life testing.

➢    Short term shelf life testing Our lab tests the products in real-time, for up to a 10-week period. We select the shelf-life test attributes based on the product type and storage conditions. Range of Tested products includes Pastries, dairy, meat, and ready-to-eat foods

➢    Long term shelf life Testing We submit your products to accelerated shelf-life testing (ASLT) for at least 3 months. We select the shelf-life test attributes based on the product type and storage conditions. Range of Tested products includesRefrigerated, frozen or dry-storage long-life foods.

 

As part of the stability study, we evaluate the product attributes:

•    Upon receipt

•    At defined time intervals

•    At the end of the storage time

 

The testing combination depends on the type of product:

•    Sensorial – appearance, color, odor and texture

•    Physical-chemical – pH, acidity (FFA), peroxide value (PA)

•    Microbiological – Total microbial count, Moulds, yeasts, Salmonella, E.coli and staph aureus

 

Report

We will issue a report at the end of each testing point. If at any point during the shelf-life testing, we will notify you if the bacterial counts greatly increase. Otherwise, we will provide updates at each shelf-life testing interval. You will receive your final report at the end of your shelf life testing service. Our staff microbiologist will write a report summarizing the results.
